Lime Leaf Smoothie Bowl

there are millions of smoothie bowls out there and I could probably spend the rest of my days eating a different variation (I love froot so much), but the addition of a single lime leaf to this one makes it exceptional. I have to give reid credit for first adding it to our smoothies. if it’s not in your freezer (ahem), go track some down for the 2nd time you make this smoothie bowl ;) and you’ll see the difference that it makes. you also won’t be sad to have it on hand to add to your curries, stews and soups.

Serves 1


1 cup frozen berries
1/2 banana, roughly sliced (you’ll use the other half as garnish)
1 lime leaf, stem removed and thinly sliced (optional, but highly recommended)
2 tbsps. gf oat milk (or milk of choice), more if too thick


other 1/2 of banana from before, sliced
strawberries, sliced
hemp seeds
chia seeds
coconut chips or flakes
mint, chiffonade


On your blender’s lowest setting, add frozen berries and blitz until they become tiny uniform frozen bits.

Add the 1/2 banana, sliced lime leaf and pulse a few times. Add oat milk and blend until a thick, smooth consistency, stopping and scraping the sides with a rubber spatula when needed.

Top with toppings and eat immediately before it melts!
